Telluride and Mountain Village, Colorado, are located in the southern most reaches of the Rocky Mountains. Demographics

Located in southwestern Colorado, Telluride resides in the San Juan Mountains at latitude 37.937 and longitude -107.812. The elevation is 8,793 feet above sea level. Telluride is the “capital” of San Miguel County, which is in the Mountain Time Zone. The population of the county is 4,905 with a land area of 213.31 square miles and a water ares of .29 square miles according to county government’s website. There are 23 people per square mile.
